Winter Weather Information

With impending bad weather on its way this weekend, the following information is a reminder of how the Good Hope leadership will communicate any changes of schedules or cancelations. 

This decision will be made by 8:00am on Sunday mornings. Regardless of whether or not an event or worship is held, please exercise caution when deciding to travel, stay safe and please do not take any unnecessary risks.

Cancellation Information

Cancellations due to emergency or inclement weather will be announced in the following ways:

• Online

o Operation Weather Alert at forevernorthwestpa.com

o Website – goodhopezionlutheranoilcity.org

o Facebook pages – Good Hope Lutheran Church and Zion Community Ministry Center, Oil City

• Phone

o We will attempt to call people who do not have any online presence and will ask congregation members to contact those they know who do not have an online presence.

Whenever possible, closure decisions will be made 2 hours prior to the event start time. In all situations, use your best judgement about travel and be safe!
